Close the game, open %localappdata%\RSDragonwilds\Saved\Config\Windows, delete Engine.ini, then restart Dragonwilds. Jagex published this reset for trees that bloom or distort as the player approaches.
Step-by-step reset
- Exit Dragonwilds completely.
- Press Windows + R and paste
%localappdata%\RSDragonwilds\Saved\Config\Windows. - Back up
Engine.iniif you have intentional custom settings. - Delete the active
Engine.ini. - Launch the game so it generates a clean configuration.
What the reset changes
The file stores local rendering configuration, so recreating it can clear a bad setting without touching world saves. Recheck graphics options afterward because custom changes may return to defaults. This is the official workaround for the reported HLOD/tree issue, not a general instruction to delete save data.
