Health and Wardshield Rework

Update 0.12 removed Wardshield and Wardstones. Damage now goes directly to health, maximum HP grows through Constitution Shrines, food restores HP instantly, and old healing potions return their components when used.

What changed

  • Wardshield no longer provides a separate armour-scaled health layer.
  • Players can raise maximum HP above 100 through exploration.
  • Cooked food is the main fast-healing resource; fish provide the strongest raw HP healing.
  • Other foods can trade some healing value for buffs.
  • Stat potions remain, while healing potions were removed from the active loop.

How preparation changes

Boss readiness now depends on permanent shrine progress and a food loadout, not filling a Wardshield bar. Players returning from an older build should revisit food storage and exploration before judging whether their armour is underpowered.
