Collecting a Moonstone before starting Rogue Trader can make its map icons display incorrectly. The quest can hold a pre-existing item state that does not match the marker sequence.
How to avoid losing progress
Keep the Moonstone, follow the written objective and verify whether the quest recognizes the item before searching every marker. Do not delete the item or restart the world only to force the map to look normal.
Report useful evidence
If the objective does not advance, record whether the Moonstone was collected before quest start, the current objective text, world type and patch number. That information distinguishes the known icon problem from a separate quest-trigger failure.
