The Magic Carpet is earned through Moon Garou quests in Umbral Sands. Players must also complete The Wild Hunt in Fellhollow to access mounts, even if a carpet customization has already been unlocked.

- Progress Moon Garou quests to earn the Magic Carpet or its customization rewards.
- Complete The Wild Hunt in Fellhollow to unlock the underlying mount system.
Having a customization before The Wild Hunt does not bypass the mount prerequisite.
Known interface confusion
The official 0.12 issue page noted greyed-out carpet variants and a defunct mount prompt when a skin was earned before the Terrorbird mount quest. Those reports may be patched; the durable fix is to complete The Wild Hunt before diagnosing the cosmetic as permanently unavailable.
