Parrying and Visceral Attacks

Quick answer

At version 1.0, a successful parry is planned to restore 50% of maximum stamina and open one Visceral Attack. Blocking will also start earlier, animate faster and show mitigated damage more clearly.

Parry reward

The design makes a correct defensive read an offensive opportunity. Restored stamina helps fund the follow-up, while the one-use Visceral Attack creates a clear punish window rather than leaving the player unsure whether a parry succeeded.

Current-build warning

These values come from the 1.0 combat preview and should not be used as a promise about the live 0.12 timing window. Enemy strategy pages need retesting after September because a boss that feels stamina-starved now may play differently once parry recovery and block responsiveness change.
